Operakällarens Matsal

So I finally got to go to Operkällarens Matsal and try out Menu Caneton. It is a very beautiful restaurant with an old time design. The restaurant has been awarded a star in Guide Michelin. The staff is great and very service minded and friendly. The Menu Caneton you can only order on Tuesdays but it was well worth the wait. It is a set menu but you get a little extra as well.

We started with a crispy leg of duck, potato foam and duck broth with truffle.

Then some seared foie gras with lingon berry and sour dough crisp, fried apple, licorice and lingon berry jus.

The main thing was pan-fried duckbreast with celeriac, chanterelles, roasted hazelnut and madeira sauce.

And ended with a plums flambéed in cognac with vanilla bavarosie, plum sorbet and caramel.

But between it all we got to try a lot of other stuff to as you can see in the pictures. And we ordered some hand-picked selection of cheeses from the trolley.

I can really recommend this place if you want a really good fine dining experience.
