This whisky was made out of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the distillery. This 21 years old whisky has been on ex-Bourbon casks then finished in vintage 1963 oloroso sherry casks which are from the same year as the distillery was reborn.
The first thing that hits me was how sweet this was to the nose. With a lot of fruits and some marzipan that hits me after a while. I could taste both cherries and some citrus fruit with a hint of some nuts. The finish that is not that long is very heavy on the oak.
