Last week I was over at Lykke for a foodie event that @Stockholmfoodguide invited me to. The restaurant is located at Nordic Light Hotel at Vasaplan 7 in Stockholm, Sweden
It is always nice to meet up with other foodies from Instagram and doing what we like most, which is eating good food. We started off the evening with a great GT and some snacks at the bar.
After that it was time to start trying some of the food.
We got the following:
Roasted cauliflower, bleak roe from Vänern, butter emulsion, cress
Pickled Anya potatoes, burnt butter sauce, charred leek, trout roe, crispy potatoes, dill
Mixed beets, homemade fresh cheese, black cabbage pesto, roasted pistachio nuts, smoked olive oil, elderflower-vinaigrette
Lamb Shank, herb baked celeriac, pickles from the summer, caramelized onion, puree lamb sauce, grilled sage-butter
Cured hallibut (MSC), grilled cucumber, dill flower mayonnaise, crisp bread and lovage
Oven baked char (MSC), smoked potatoes, trout roe, sauteed spinach, mussel cream sauce, elderflower capers
Slow baked pointed cabbage, warm seasonal mushrooms, roasted hazelnuts, yoghurt, Swedish hard cheese
Corn fed duck breast, sunchoke puree, charred onions, grilled chicken butter, pickled endive
Dark chocolate sorbet, preserved seasonal fruit, tuille and nut krokant
Financiere with apple, whipped cream with calvados, apple sorbet, cinnamon crumble and fennel
Buttermilk pudding, lemon curd, cloudberries and almond cake
We had great service thru the evening and after trying all that food it was time to call it a night and go home.
